35 students and staff from Bellefontaine High School and Bellefontaine Middle School volunteered at the Columbus Marathon on Sunday.

Members of the BHS National Honor Soiety, BHS swim team, BHS Envirothon team, and BMS cross country team helped pass out snacks to runners as they crossed the finish line.

BCS students and staff also helped with trash collection and removal.

Envirothon led an effort to collect recyclable cardboard from the event to reduce waste.

BCS students were also invited to hold the finish line tape for the men’s division winner.

Bellefontaine City Schools has sent volunteers to the Columbus Marathon since 2013.
