First-graders at Bellefontaine Elementary School participated in their first field trip earlier this month.

Students and teachers traveled to Marmon Valley Farm near Zanesfield.

First-graders enjoyed a wagon ride as they learned about native Ohio animals and their habitats.

Students also rode ponies and saw farm animals up close.

Finally, the young learners experienced many firsts and had a wonderful time.

The first grade would like to thank the BES PTO for sponsoring the trip, BCS bus drivers, first grade parent chaperones, and the staff at Marmon Valley Farm.
