A former Bellefontaine educator and coach passed away over the weekend.

Tim Moran, 62, of Rushsylvania, died at his residence on Saturday. He had been suffering with failing health for the past year due to complications from diabetes.

Tim taught at Bellefontaine Middle School for 32 years. He retired in 2015.

Moran was a longtime assistant football coach and assistant girls track coach at BHS.

More recently, he had been mowing grass for Bellefontaine Parks and Recreation.

Tim is survived by his wife, Donna, along with 2 children and 1 grandchild.

Arrangements are being handled by Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 30th from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

A private family graveside service will be held in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
