Bellefontaine is ready to kick off the upcoming school year.

BCS board members went on their annual building tour Wednesday morning.

The five members visited Bellefontaine Intermediate School, Bellefontaine Elementary School, Bellefontaine Middle School, and Bellefontaine High School.

Superintendent Brad Hall, Executive Director of Administrative Services Roger Ely, Buildings and Grounds Supervisor Max Earick, and Treasurer Josh Wasson joined the board on the tour.

The building principals led the tour on each campus.

BIS Principal Krista Adelsberger touted the cleanliness of the 90-year-old building.

507 students in grades 3-5 are enrolled this year.

BES Principal Pat Martz reminded board members the building is entering its ninth year.

Approximately 480 students in grades K-2 will be at the elementary this fall.

Martz commended the custodial staff for keeping the school “like new.”

BMS Principal Lynda Holycross said the staff will focus on the social and emotional wellness of each 6th-8th grader.

Assistant Principal Gavin Yoder explained how technology is being used during open house nights this week.

Parents and students can use QR codes to access a building map, a Chromebook care and use guide, supply lists for each grade, and important dates at the middle school.

553 students are enrolled at the middle school.

The final stop on the tour was the high school.

Principal Dr. Pam Noeth explained the importance of technology during stops in the DECA classroom and WBCS TV studio.

She also discussed the addition of strength and conditioning coach Morgan Fultz.

Fultz will work with each athlete to make them bigger, faster, and stronger through individualized workout plans.

769 freshmen through seniors will be at the high school this year.

Chromebooks will be distributed to high school students on August 24th-25th.

Middle school students will receive their Chromebooks on August 26th-27th.

The first day of classes at Bellefontaine will be on August 17th.Bellefontaine Elementary School
